The added nutritional values that hemp brings is just invaluable especially as we in the west are sufficiently lacking in omegas (3s especially). plus you have the added satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting British Farmers, virtually an organic crop, and even though the texture takes a bit of getting used too the taste is actually pretty good. In the past, I have used both whey and soya protein products but have always found them to have unpleasant effects with regular use. I've found that Hemp protein is very easy on the system with no burping, pain or gas. It being a natural food and not unduly processed,it seems to bring a general health benefit in a bit of unexpected zing. I've also discovered it can be used not only in the shake of your choice, but can be used in baking fabulous protein bars and post-run gingerbread. Pure magic really, and I do appreciate the effort made in producing such a fine food. I have to rate it as excellent for an endurance runner like me.
